You’ve heard of Instagram, right? Are you familiar with Microsoft’s Photosynth and Google’s Photo Sphere on Nexus phones and tablets? How about Apple’s brilliant continuous-scan panorama mode on iOS devices? Well mash all this up and you get TourWrist, an app / social network for sharing photo spheres. The app started life as a social network for virtual tourism and gained one million users since launching in 2010. Here in Las Vegas, the company just launched the latest version of TourWrist with a focus on capturing photos spheres. Unlike Microsoft’s and Google’s approach, which stitches 360-degree images from discrete pictures, the app uses continuous-scan like Apple’s panorama mode. The resulting photo spheres are truly impressive and look significantly better than the competition, especially when captured in tricky lighting conditions. All 360-degree images can be shared with other TourWrist users, Instagram-style, and with other social networks by linking to an HTML5-compatible viewer. Take a look at our gallery below and peek after the break for our hands-on video and sample photo sphere captured on site.

Google Glass

What is Google Glass?  how it works?

“Google Glass” redirects here. It is not to be confused with Google Goggles.

Project Glass is a research and development program by Google to develop an augmented reality head-mounted display (HMD). Project Glass products would display information insmartphone-like format hands-free and could interact with the Internet via natural language voice commands. The prototype’s functionality and minimalist appearance (aluminium strip with 2 nose pads) has been compared to Steve Mann‘s EyeTap.

The operating system software used in the glasses will be Google’s Android.

this what Wikipedia says about Google Glass

in future we can access all kind of Google apps with Google glass (gmail, map, Etc) we check the prices of goods and more details so in future we all must need a Google glass , what ever we talks Google glass recognize the voice and help us according to our needs. this device is cost about $1500.  check the link below

this video gives us a better idea about it. Google glass does the works of smart phones that is cool. check the next video for Project Glass: Live Demo At Google I/O

I found this video says about how Google glasses works

Now we’ll see what are the cool thing in Google Glasses

  • The glasses “basically do everything that a smartphone can do, but faster and without having to pull out your phone.”
  • People will be able to tell when you’re not paying attention to them – your interactions with the glasses are noticeable.
  • Even if it weren’t her job to test them, the Google employee says she’d “absolutely” still use them herself.
  • You can scroll through Web pages by making a scrolling motion with your finger next to the headgear.

Boring things

It could easily be overpriced. If you want to buy a very fancy pair of designer glasses, you could easily spend $300-$500. Google needs to aim right in this price range (and not much higher) to keep potential consumers interested.

How will we address theft? People steal phones. People steal tablets. It’s not hard to imagine someone walking up to you, grabbing the Google Glasses right off your face, and sprinting away. Will there be a “Find My Glasses” feature?

People might not want to “wear” their technology. People who already wear glasses will have less of a hurdle to clear here – they’re already accustomed to strapping eyewear to their faces every day. But a large portion of the population uses contact lenses or doesn’t have corrected vision. There will likely be a social speedbump to get over before people are wearing them in public without being self-conscious.

Recently Sergey Brin Ride the NYC Subway with Google Glass (in tech crunch)

its give good publicity to Google Glass

http://techcrunch.com/2013/01/21/sergey-brin-dons-google-glass-dresses-like-an-international-jewel-thief-for-nyc-subway-ride/

The tech giant is throwing two events to let developers have an “early look at Glass” and become familiar with the wearable platform’s software.

20120627_Google_I-O_Project_Glass_001_610x459

Google announced  that it is throwing two hackathons for developers to get to know and work on its Google Glass project. The people allowed to participate in the events are those who agreed to fork over $1,500 for the developer edition of the wearable device.

“It’s the first opportunity for a group of developers to get together and develop for Glass,” Google told CNET.

The hackathons are slated to be two days long and take place in San Francisco on January 28 and 29 and in New York on February 1 and 2. Those developers attending the events will be able to have an “early look at Glass” and “have a device to use while on-site.”

so finally this Google glasses going to help our work so after that person gonna be smart people after wear this gadget 🙂

now take about this video it s just a funny video about Google Glass

Android vs CyanogenMod

Hey All. Today We Going to Check about CyanogneMod Vs Android,

Most of them in the mobile phone market knows about the android and android market how it’s going to today we’ll check about the CyanogenMod.

First this we want to know what is CyanogenMod 🙂 Let see what WikiPedia Says about it.  http://www.cyanogenmod.org/

android_smartphone5f85cyanogenmod-9-galaxy-s3

CyanogenMod (pronounced /saɪ.’æn.oʊ.dʒɛn.mɒd/) is an open source replacement firmware for smart phones and tablet computers based on the Android mobile operating system. It offers features and options not found in the official firmware distributed by vendors of these devices.

Features supported by CyanogenMod include native theming support, FLAC audio codec support, a large Access Point Name list, an OpenVPN client, an enhanced reboot menu, support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB tethering, CPU overclocking and other performance enhancements, soft buttons and other “tablet tweaks”, toggles in the notification pull-down (such as Wi-FiBluetooth and GPS), app permissions management, as well as other interface enhancements. According to its developers, CyanogenMod does not contain spyware or bloatware.[3][4]CyanogenMod is also stated to increase performance and reliability compared with official firmware releases.[5]

CyanogenMod is developed as free and open source software based on the official releases of Android by Google, with added original and third-party code.

Although only a subset of total CyanogenMod users elect to report their use of the firmware,[6] as of 31 December 2012, CyanogenMod has recorded over 3.4 million installs on a multitude of devices.[7][8]

History and development

Soon after the introduction of the HTC Dream (named the “T-Mobile G1” in the United States) mobile phone in September 2008, a method was discovered to attain privileged control (termed “root access“) within Android’s Linux-based subsystem.[9] Having root access, combined with the open source nature of the Android operating system, allowed the phone’s stock firmware to be modified and re-installed onto the phone.

In the following year, several modified firmwares for the Dream were developed and distributed by Android enthusiasts. One, maintained by a developer named JesusFreke, quickly became popular among Dream owners. In August, 2009, JesusFreke stopped work on his firmware, and suggested users switch to a version of his ROM that had been further enhanced by developer Cyanogen (Steve Kondik) called “CyanogenMod”.[10]

CyanogenMod quickly grew in popularity, and a small community of developers, called the CyanogenMod Team (and informally, “Team Douche”[11]) made contributions. Within a few months, the number of devices and features supported by CyanogenMod blossomed, and CyanogenMod quickly became one of the most popular Android firmware distributions.

Like many open source projects, CyanogenMod is developed using a distributed revision control system with the official repositories being hosted on GitHub.[12] Contributors submit new feature or bug fix changes using Google’s source code review system, Gerrit.[13] Contributions may be tested by anyone, voted up or down by registered users, and ultimately accepted into the code by one of a handful of CyanogenMod developers.

A version of ADW.Launcher, an alternative launcher (home screen) for the Android operating system, became the default launcher on CyanogenMod 5.0.8. The launcher provides additional features not provided by the default Android launcher, including more customization abilities (including icon themes, effects, and behavior), the ability to backup and restore configuration settings, and other features.[14][15]

CyanogenMod developers rejected implementing a system to prevent apps from accessing private information, as it may have upset vendors to the point of jeopardizing the existence of the CyanogenMod project.[16]

Actually the CyanogenMod  was published for some Smartphone we can upgrade the Android Os the Higher or better one.  Basically for Google Nexus Mobile Devices gets the Quick updates. for Samsung, HTC. Etc android devices. it take some time to upgrade to higher version. so CyanogenMod starts to get the source code of android (it open source ) they Made the suitable upgrade OS for the Higher Android Mobile OS.  Now days we can see most of the android users moving to CyanogenMod because of the Higher version upgrade.   (Eg: Normally Jellybean Doesn’t s supports with Samsung S, But with Cyanogen we can upgrade to Jellybean) Now lets see How Many Mobile Devices Supports with CynogenMod (Check the Below Link)  http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Devices

Note: with Cyanogenmod they can Bundle the Google products  with it etc-Google search, gmail, maps , Etc so what want to download these apps from android market.

Ubuntu running from an Android phone

A complete Ubuntu desktop for docked Android phones

Ubuntu for Android provides a full desktop experience, including office software, web browsing, email and media applications, on Android phones docked to a screen and keyboard. Thanks to tight integration with the Android service layer, the transition between the two environments is seamless, making it easy to access the phone’s services from the desktop when docked.

Secure full-featured web

Sit back and enjoy a full desktop browser for multi-tab, multi-window web productivity. Ubuntu supports both Chromium and Firefox, the world’s fastest browsers, and is naturally resistant to web malware, which is why enterprises and governments are adopting Ubuntu on desktops.

Surf on the move with the Android browser, then dock to continue your session on the desktop. You get the same web pages, the same bookmarks and the same browsing history, with all the real-estate of a desktop. Using web applications with a full keyboard and mouse is so much better than a tablet when you’re at a desk, even in a hotel.

Contacts lense on Ubuntu

Unified contacts

Both Ubuntu and Android access the same mobile address book. So even when the phone is docked, you can view, edit, call, text or email a contact. You can even check their profiles on Facebook or Twitter.

Calendar coordination

As with your contacts, your Android calendar data is shared with Ubuntu. This enables synchronisation with any desktop or web-based calendar application, like Google Calendar.

Messaging and calls

Read and reply to incoming SMS messages from the desktop, using Ubuntu’s message indicator. You can also make and receive calls via the desktop – and you’ll be alerted to voicemails so you can manage them while you work.

Incoming message on Ubuntu

Simple integrated settings

Alarm clock settings on the phone can be synchronised to alert you when working in the Ubuntu environment. You’ll have one place to enter wifi passwords and one place to pair your bluetooth headset, then everything just works.

Photos

Manage and view photos stored on your smartphone using the Ubuntu Gallery application. Then edit them on the Ubuntu desktop and save them back to the phone. Create, edit and consume, all on one device.

Social networking services

All your Android social network account credentials are synchronised seamlessly, using the Ubuntu social networking client to provide easy access to your online communities.

Technical specifications

Ubuntu for Android requires minimal custom hardware enablement, allowing fast and cost-efficient core integration. It requires a core based on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) or any subsequent version.

Ubuntu and Android share the same kernel. When docked, the Ubuntu OS boots and runs concurrently with Android. This allows both mobile and desktop functionality to co-exist in different runtimes.

Shared services and applications are delivered using a Convergence API module which ensures the tight integration between desktop and mobile environments. Work is balanced across the cores of the phone. When the handset is not docked, both CPU cores transfer their full power to Android.

  Tesla_aged_36.jpeg

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nikola_Tesla

now this tech in lots of electronic device and even car too lets see new video what happened  in CES2013

that’s interesting   now days NOKIA mobile company also started to use this tech.

Day By the this technology improved finally in 2011 CES  The car company name call TESLA  http://www.teslamotors.com  introduce it and it owned by Elon Musk (Owner of Paypal), Martin Eberhard, Marc Tarpenning, JB Straubel, Ian Wright. they brought up the concept from the road there is changing point form that you can charge you can while charging inside our tesla car can charge our electronic devices. so we can pay for the power which using to charge the car over the mobile phone. this system in environmental friendly and cost effective too. now let see that video.
