Recently Skype Celebrates 10th Anniversary, After Tagging with Major IT Company Microsoft, Skype made lots of new updates, And still improving it a lot. Now Skype try to implement the 3D format Video chat with TV’s and Laptops. But still the no idea  about the 3D capturing technology.

“We’ve done work in the labs looking at the capability of 3D-screens and 3D-capture,” Skype vice president Mark Gillett told the BBC during an exclusive interview. Gillett explained we have the right display technology already — we see that in our computer and TV screens — but the camera tech is still holding up 3D video.

So in future any one needs to be talking 3D Format the wanted get a 3D Capturing  Cam to support. And how this 3D function will work with Smartphone now days most of them moving from PC and Laps to Smartphone. If Microsoft planning to launch 3D format video chat they should give the Capturing solution also together.

  1. Even here in Scandinavia there are many people who are afraid of Skype some even too afraid to use it. So the thought of 3D Skype will probably terrify many of them.
3D video chat will be great, but I hope that it does not fail in the same way that 3D TV and 3D films have.
