Google Says No to CynogenMod

cyanogenmod-9

Google asked to remove cyanogenMod from google play. Because that’s the famous alternative rom for  Android. Cyanogen raised $7 million from Benchmark Capital back in September to turn its geek-beloved aftermarket version of Android into a mainstream flavor of the platform – with the ultimate aim of using an Android variant to compete with standard Android (and iOS) for consumers’ attention.

CynogenMod Blog Mentions  Cyanogen said Google’s Play support team had contacted it to ask it to remove the app, citing violations of Play’s developer terms – warning that if the app wasn’t voluntarily removed it would be forcibly ejected.

What ever happens Google Can’t stop the cyanogenMod. Google ask to take off only cyanogenMod but there are so many mods are available in the tech world.

The front side of the HTC One seems like  Iphone5 but performance wise HTC is better and we can upgrade the OS to jelly bean 4.2.2 this awesome, battery life also extreme. i , surely say that HTC One in the top 5 smartphone category. in this phone backup system is pretty cool  we can download to another HTC phone same backups. We can easily transform from iPhone or Samsung to HTC they made the system like user friendly. comparing with Blackberry z10 and HTC Droid DNA phone HTC One Cam is much better. video quality also good.  Sound Quality comparing with iPhone 5 HTC One is much much better. Performance nothing to think about it everything supports 100%, talk time 2 to 3 hours and the mean while you can check every 5 min and internet twitter fb Google + etc if you using all this thing still your battery power is there .  GPS System linking with this phone bit slowly that’s the only thing  i seem for issue from this smartphone. I can strongly tell HTC One is one of best Smart Phone from HTC.

Android vs CyanogenMod

Hey All. Today We Going to Check about CyanogneMod Vs Android,

Most of them in the mobile phone market knows about the android and android market how it’s going to today we’ll check about the CyanogenMod.

First this we want to know what is CyanogenMod 🙂 Let see what WikiPedia Says about it.  http://www.cyanogenmod.org/

android_smartphone5f85cyanogenmod-9-galaxy-s3

CyanogenMod (pronounced /saɪ.’æn.oʊ.dʒɛn.mɒd/) is an open source replacement firmware for smart phones and tablet computers based on the Android mobile operating system. It offers features and options not found in the official firmware distributed by vendors of these devices.

Features supported by CyanogenMod include native theming support, FLAC audio codec support, a large Access Point Name list, an OpenVPN client, an enhanced reboot menu, support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB tethering, CPU overclocking and other performance enhancements, soft buttons and other “tablet tweaks”, toggles in the notification pull-down (such as Wi-FiBluetooth and GPS), app permissions management, as well as other interface enhancements. According to its developers, CyanogenMod does not contain spyware or bloatware.[3][4]CyanogenMod is also stated to increase performance and reliability compared with official firmware releases.[5]

CyanogenMod is developed as free and open source software based on the official releases of Android by Google, with added original and third-party code.

Although only a subset of total CyanogenMod users elect to report their use of the firmware,[6] as of 31 December 2012, CyanogenMod has recorded over 3.4 million installs on a multitude of devices.[7][8]

History and development

Soon after the introduction of the HTC Dream (named the “T-Mobile G1” in the United States) mobile phone in September 2008, a method was discovered to attain privileged control (termed “root access“) within Android’s Linux-based subsystem.[9] Having root access, combined with the open source nature of the Android operating system, allowed the phone’s stock firmware to be modified and re-installed onto the phone.

In the following year, several modified firmwares for the Dream were developed and distributed by Android enthusiasts. One, maintained by a developer named JesusFreke, quickly became popular among Dream owners. In August, 2009, JesusFreke stopped work on his firmware, and suggested users switch to a version of his ROM that had been further enhanced by developer Cyanogen (Steve Kondik) called “CyanogenMod”.[10]

CyanogenMod quickly grew in popularity, and a small community of developers, called the CyanogenMod Team (and informally, “Team Douche”[11]) made contributions. Within a few months, the number of devices and features supported by CyanogenMod blossomed, and CyanogenMod quickly became one of the most popular Android firmware distributions.

Like many open source projects, CyanogenMod is developed using a distributed revision control system with the official repositories being hosted on GitHub.[12] Contributors submit new feature or bug fix changes using Google’s source code review system, Gerrit.[13] Contributions may be tested by anyone, voted up or down by registered users, and ultimately accepted into the code by one of a handful of CyanogenMod developers.

A version of ADW.Launcher, an alternative launcher (home screen) for the Android operating system, became the default launcher on CyanogenMod 5.0.8. The launcher provides additional features not provided by the default Android launcher, including more customization abilities (including icon themes, effects, and behavior), the ability to backup and restore configuration settings, and other features.[14][15]

CyanogenMod developers rejected implementing a system to prevent apps from accessing private information, as it may have upset vendors to the point of jeopardizing the existence of the CyanogenMod project.[16]

Actually the CyanogenMod  was published for some Smartphone we can upgrade the Android Os the Higher or better one.  Basically for Google Nexus Mobile Devices gets the Quick updates. for Samsung, HTC. Etc android devices. it take some time to upgrade to higher version. so CyanogenMod starts to get the source code of android (it open source ) they Made the suitable upgrade OS for the Higher Android Mobile OS.  Now days we can see most of the android users moving to CyanogenMod because of the Higher version upgrade.   (Eg: Normally Jellybean Doesn’t s supports with Samsung S, But with Cyanogen we can upgrade to Jellybean) Now lets see How Many Mobile Devices Supports with CynogenMod (Check the Below Link)  http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Devices

Note: with Cyanogenmod they can Bundle the Google products  with it etc-Google search, gmail, maps , Etc so what want to download these apps from android market.
